Dr. Oscar J. Harp III is the founder and CEO of Brain Enhancement (BE) Mindful Therapy LLC. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and retired public-school psychologist in the District of Columbia. He has worked as a clinical psychologist with addictions, mood and anxiety disorders, and behavioral stress reduction at both outpatient and inpatient Military Treatment Facilities. His experience encompasses various settings, including nursing homes, a university counseling service, public schools, youth correctional facilities, and hospitals. He has a history of delivering psychological services to children (ages 6 to 12), adolescents, adults, and senior patients for several decades. He is a Fellow and Diplomate of the Association of Black Psychologists, holding board certification in African Black/Psychology (CABP). Dr. Harp has a Postdoctoral M.S. in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and an undergraduate B.A. in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University. His APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Internship was at Children’s Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. In 2025, Brain Enhancement (BE) Mindful Therapy earned the Nonfiction Silver Book Award in the category of Mental Health from the Nonfiction Authors Association and won the International Impact Book Award in two categories: Self-Help-Personal Development, and Alternative Medicine-Mind Body Medicine (Meditation, Yoga, Breathwork). In 2022, Dr. Harp received the Legacy Award for outstanding service in Clinical Psychology and Black Psychology from the Howard University Psychology Department and the D.C. Chapter of the Association of Black Psychologists.
